Blaine Cook (Twitter)

%w(Akita On Rails) * 2.0 / Chatting with Blaine Cook (Twitter): "He and Noah Glass (the founder of Odeo) created a small sub-company within Odeo to work on it, in spring 2006. Initially, I hated the idea, mostly because it was intended to be SMS-only.

It’s hard to say looking back, but at the time I’d say Twitter was a long shot"

3 things:

1. Thanks to Blaine for mentioning me regarding my roll in starting Twitter.
2. There were a lot of reasons why he didn't like Twitter when we were starting it. It would have to be said that it was created in a less-than-idea environment.
3. Blaine is an extremely talented developer...wise beyond his years. I'll never forget that first skype call when I hired him as a contractor, on Rabble's suggestion, many moons ago.
